The stainless steel case houses a precise quartz movement, has a Hardlex crystal and is coupled to a solid stainless steel bracelet. The chronograph records elapsed time up to 12 hours in 1/20 seconds; has a sub-dial at the 6 o'clock spot; can indicate the time in different time zones; has a screw-down caseback and a fold-over deployment clasp on the band.
The Seiko SND581 Model also is equpped with a battery that has a solid 3-year life.
